The Benjamin Franklin Bridge (once referred to as the Delaware River Bridge and later named in honor of America’s most famous citizen, Benjamin Franklin) is a cantilever bridge spanning the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Camden, New Jersey.

 It is owned by the Delaware River Port Authority, a bi-state agency between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (PennDOT) and the States of New Jersey (NJTA). The bridge opened on July 1, 1926, and was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time.
